The RCL – Revised Common Lectionary – is conveniently available online. My three favorite resources include:
- The mother of all Revised Common Lectionary Resource sites, at the Vanderbilt Divinity Library: https://lectionary.library.vanderbilt.edu. Art work, prayers, links and calendar subscriptions for your Microsoft, Google, and Apple calendars. They do not offer an app for your phone and the scriptures are given in the NRSVUE – New Revised Standard Version Updated Edition.
- The most convenient site is at https://www.dailylectio.net. Click on Today’s Reading and it offers you prayers and readings in the Semicontinuous or Complementary formats. The app for your phone is very accessible and easily switches back and forth between Semicontinuous and Complementary. Scriptures are given in the NRSV – New Revised Standard Version.
- My current favorite is from Bible Gateway – https://www.biblegateway.com/reading-plans. They have a great variety of reading plans, and for the RCL you can choose from Revised Common Lectionary (Semicontinuous) and Revised Common Lectionary (Complementary). PLUS you can easily choose between the many different Bible translations offered. It takes a little setting up, but their smartphone app is great.
- I only mentioned online resources above, but you can use any of them to look up the schedule of readings in your own favorite PRINT Bible as well!
